We knew it was coming, I mean the signs had been swirling around for almost a year. Some of the signs were quite obvious and others were more subtle, but it had to happen sometime and low and behold April 21st was it. Of course we knew it would be that day. In fact, we planned it that way. Well, we didn’t plan on April 21st exactly, but we knew it was going to be around that date. And when it did happen… wow. It was wonderful. And now for four more years (so far) it has happened (with many more to come). On exactly the same day too. Weird. Which leaves me saying, “All I can say is wow!”.
So by now you are wondering what the wow is aren’t you?
It’s Cadel the wonderboy! The little boy who was 2 going on 4 and then 3 going on 5 is now 4 going on 6, yahoo!
So it ended up being a birthday festival this year, with parties on all three days this weekend. First it was a Friday games night with our family: Grandpa & Granny, Baba & Gido, Uncle Jimbob and The Evil Durik & his fair maiden Nicole. Then Saturday was mostly a relaxed day with some pizza thrown in and Sunday, well, Sunday was sweaty mayhem since we ran and played and wrestled and jumped around and had ice cream cake and tons of fun at The Fun Factory with a bunch of Cadel’s friends from church. There was Bronte, Trinity & Aisha, and Brett, Garrison, Parker, JT, Drew, Jackson, Aden & of course, Cadel. And we had a few party crashers as well. When we added it all up it meant one fabulous weekend celebrating a wonderful boy. Thank you to everyone who participated this weekend, it was great.
