A most important day

Well, I’d like to say I remember it like yesterday but really I don’t. Not even a little bit. I wasn’t even around for this very important day. You could say it’s up there with only one other day as the most important day in my life. And I wasn’t even there. But if it wasn’t for this day I wouldn’t be here.
So what’s so important about today? It’s my dad’s birthday, his 60th birthday. 60 years ago today a new life was added to this earth. The 8th of 9 children, my dad is special. No, not “special”. He’s special in a caring, tender-hearted, self-less way. I think that is a quality that is rare in most people, but not my dad, he’s got lots of it. Some people would say he got too much, but I don’t think so… I think he got the right amount to do everything placed in his heart to do.
He’s perfectly equipped to do what’s been placed inside him to do.

Dad, we love you. Have a great birthday.

  1. What you say of your Dad is so true. He is a very kind, caring, self-less man and I am so blessed that he is my husband and very best friend.
